What “Available for sale” and “Private” mean in Persir’s Data page
Read internal folders and individual eligibility labels without mistaking them for listings or sharing permission.

Persir’s Data page now presents saved personal details without the earlier sale/private folder divisions. Records remain owner-only and the beta does not list, sell or donate them. Presentation and commercial permission are different things. Use Data to inspect the source, accuracy and current status of saved information, while reading the separate limits on any future disclosure.
Understand the current Data view
Manual answers, confirmed summary statements and game records can appear in the same account without becoming interchangeable sources. A summary label identifies the provider and confirmation context, not a completed legal rights review. The view supports inspection and correction. It does not advertise your information to companies or select a commercial recipient on your behalf.
An import, manual answer or game response remains separate from a commercial authorization. Account creation, Terms acceptance, Google sign-in and summary confirmation do not give merchants access. A Yes answer to the rewards-interest survey also supplies no sharing permission. A future request would need to name what would be disclosed, to whom and for what purpose.
Understand the “Private” folder
The Private branch organizes private and noncommercial records and related service information. Its exact contents should be read from the current interface, not inferred from a promise that nothing outside that branch is private. Owner-only access applies to the records organized elsewhere too.
Private storage is not donation. A nonprofit would need a specific, permitted disclosure decision just as any other external recipient would. Persir has no active data-donation program in the beta. The folder is an organization tool, not a statement that another party already has rights to use its contents.
Read the individual labels
“Potentially eligible for future sale” describes conditional potential, not approval or disclosure. “Personalization only” describes information excluded from sale through the product. “Under review” means eligibility has not been verified. These labels answer a different question from where the record is stored.
The current policy has no completed affirmative commercial rights review. Identity, location, sensitive information and account or experience settings are among the product exclusions. Imported conversation text, inferred information and unverified manual records remain under review rather than receiving an automatic positive classification.
Check provenance and rights
A ChatGPT or Claude export may contain your own inputs, generated material and third-party text. A manually entered field can also include another person’s information. Review rights, sensitivity, workplace restrictions and applicable law before considering a future commercial use.
Provider terms describe particular rights and responsibilities, but they do not turn an entire archive into freely saleable content. Keep the source and collection method visible. A label should not erase uncertainty about authorship or whose personal information appears in the record.
Use the Data controls for current needs
Inspect the information, review supported findings and choose corrections, deactivation, individual detail deletion according to your goal. Understand whether a control retains a value while excluding it from use or removes live records more broadly. Settings provides account export and deletion.
Persir currently offers no merchant-sharing or reward transaction. If that changes, a specific disclosure would need a separate decision naming the information and recipient. Until then, use Data as a private review and control surface. The folders organize records; they do not silently transform eligibility, service processing or interest into commercial permission.
