Deleting an import, deleting an account and deleting the source are different
Map what each removal control affects so you can choose the right scope and account for remaining copies.

A conversation can exist in several places: the original provider account, a ZIP on your device, an imported record, a generated output and a shared image. Deleting one location does not automatically delete the others. Begin with the outcome you want and map the copies that matter before choosing a control.
Separate the source from the import
The source account is where the original conversation was created. An export is a downloaded snapshot. An import is information transferred into another service for a particular purpose. Those records have separate controls and processing arrangements.
If you remove a Persir import, that action does not delete the original chats in ChatGPT or Claude. If you delete source conversations, that does not remove an archive already on your device or text already imported elsewhere. Keep an inventory when you need a broader removal plan, especially for sensitive material.
Understand individual detail removal
Persir lets you inspect, edit and delete confirmed ChatGPT or Claude summary details in Data. Deleting an individual statement removes that saved summary detail while keeping independent answers, games and other summary details. Generation fences and non-text deletion markers prevent stale retries from silently restoring removed information. Full conversation imports have been retired; the replacement flow does not store a new raw account archive.
When another permitted source supports the same fact, that source can remain. A minimal duplicate receipt or text hash can preserve your deletion decision without retaining the deleted statement. Read the Privacy policy for the available controls and provider-backup limitations. Deleting an app record cannot recall a file already shared or reverse processing performed by an external provider.
Understand account deletion
Account deletion is broader: it removes live app-owned account records through the account’s deletion controls. In Persir, Settings provides that action. It is different from logging out, which ends access in a session while leaving the account and records in place.
Before deletion, download any available information you intentionally want to retain and verify that copy. Then consider whether retention defeats your original removal goal. A private backup can be appropriate, but it should be deliberate. Do not create a complete new archive automatically when you only need one harmless project note.
Recognize provider and external-copy limits
Deletion of live application data does not establish immediate removal from every provider backup or technical log. Persir’s Privacy policy identifies operator configuration gaps for actual backup and log schedules. OpenAI API processing also follows its account controls and abuse-monitoring rules; store:false alone does not mean no retention.
An application cannot reliably retract material already downloaded, emailed or shared with another person. Previously shared images and local derivatives need separate attention. If another service holds a copy, use that service’s controls and contact route. Be precise about what you can verify and what remains outside your direct control.
Choose the smallest action that meets your goal
For one incorrect inference, correction or dismissal may be enough. For unwanted summary statements, delete the individual details in Data. For leaving Persir and removing its live account records, use account deletion. For deleting original chats or local ZIPs, act in those separate locations.
After acting, inspect the visible state and record any unresolved retention question. Contact the verified operator when necessary without sending credentials or a complete archive by default. A clear deletion plan names each location and its control. That is more useful than a broad promise that one button will erase all copies everywhere.
